richard has a varied musical career. currently his main focus is songwriting and singing solo - recently he has been performing at clubs, bars and casinos around the country, singing from a vast catalogue of cover songs and throwing in the odd original along the way. richard covers everyone from elton john to eric clapton, from barry manilow to bette midler, and does some interesting "alternative" versions of guns 'n' roses and pink floyd songs.

additionally, richard plays in several other bands. the south city trio, a jazz band who perform at weddings and other functions, is becoming more and more popular with clients who want some classy, mellow, quiet but excellent music. he also runs the disco knights - a lively function band who entertain private and corporate clients for their parties. melodius thunk are a 5-piece funky jazz band who play repertoire such as herbie hancock and miles davis. richard ties a lot of this performing together under the umbrella of cornucopia music , a small entertainments agency which manages his own and a number of other bands.

richard is a prolific songwriter and has his own cd entitled "clean hands", which was recorded in richard's studio, golden pen studios, in london.
