Choir Director

London City Voices performing with audience participation

600 members. No auditions. Pure harmony.

Richard is the founder and director of London City Voices choir.

London City Voices started life in 2011 with a handful of people standing around a piano in the City of London. Today it has more than 600 members, and is run by Richard, his wife Kate, and his son Ben. Members come from all walks of life, and the choir has branches in Soho, Monument, and Waterloo, as well as online.

The choir is also very much a community — they have open mics, quizzes, holidays, and other events. They are completely non-religious and non-audition, and sing a variety of pop music in beautiful harmony.

London City Voices regularly performs in beautiful venues such as Troxy and Hackney Empire, and in November 2020, during the pandemic lockdown, they recorded a video with the wonderful Annie Lennox.
