Richard is an accomplished pianist and singer with a repertoire of thousands of songs.

Richard has spent most of his life learning how to play songs which caught his attention. He started this process at around age nine, despite his father forbidding him from playing by ear. At about 15, he discovered the music of Queen, and set about learning the piano parts for every song by ear — being dissatisfied with the available transcriptions in the songbooks.

He gradually progressed into all sorts of other pop music, and also became armed with a plethora of songs absorbed from his parents: Gilbert & Sullivan, musicals, and classical music. Running a function band for years also gave him a huge boost in repertoire, and allowed him to observe which songs were the ones people liked to cheer along with at the end of the night.

All this makes him the perfect addition to your event, whether it's a birthday party, wedding reception, corporate event, or festival.
